setLanguageConfiguration applies brackets and auto-closing pairs from the config. Use setMatchedBrackets when your language service computed the match at the caret; theme bracketHighlight* / rangeEffects.bracketMatch paint it.

Pairs are encoded as the first Unicode code point of each string.
